PP, assuming that your member friend is accessing her late husbands account, otherwise how would she know he is still receiving enquiries, all she needs to do is to delete the membership as SatNav has pointed out.

There is confusion about who are members and who are not.
It has nothing to do with money.
The moment someone registers then they are a member.(free)
The only way they will cease is if they log into "My Account" and delete.

There is uncertainty on what remains after deleting account.
I would suggest that the tree is deleted first and maybe all threads. The reason I say this is that Whirley seems to have deleted her account yet her threads are still here.

Thankyou for your help but I had checked the box and it had been read and there was still no answer. It was Genes themselves that sent the hot match so I assume that they are still members.

You need to go to your "Sent Messages"
If the box is purple then they have not read it yet.

There could be various reasons there is no reply

They are ill
on holiday
no longer come on genes
family problems

to name a few

When sending a message to a Hot Match possible family relative please take the time to answer even if its only to say sorry you can't
help. It's most frustating to think at long last you have found a relative only to be ignored.
