Would somebody please help me to sort out this problem I have with Catherine Flint , on FreeBMD I find an entry for her Dec. Q 1857 in Melton but looking at my notes I have her in Sept.Q 1855 in Billeson and also a baptism from LDS. I no longer have a sub to Ancestry so cannot check back on their BMD , I cannot find any death or marriage for the Melton Catherine and cannot access census info anymore .
I am awaiting her marriage cert. (1874 to Charles Plowman ) at the moment but I don't think that this will really help with her birth info as the age on the cert can be incorrect.
I would appreciate any help .

I can't find a birth for Catherine Flint in 1855 but there is this one in 1857:-

That might be the correct birth Netty as on the 1881 census Charles's wife spells her name CathArine.

Thanks Janet , I cannot think how I got the 1855 date and a baptism also for 1855 , her family came from Lowesby which is in the billesdon reg. district .

The 1881 census would imply she was the one born 1855.

Let us know when the marriage cert arrives, we might then be able to trace her back.

Yes you do have the correct family , so I did have the correct info after all, I am quite puzzled by the Catherine in Melton which is quite close to the Billesdon area , maybe her marriage or death was just not on FreeBMD .

Thanks Ozbird I think that the Catherines must be cousins , John and Lumley Johnson must be related I do know that Catherines mother was Catherine Johnson.
Must have a go at the Family Search and see if I can get a clearer picture of the Flints and the Johnsons.
I will let you know if I get any more info from the marriage cert.
