Hello All
I have a tough one to solve and i am hoping someone will help me solve the following.

Armstrong Urwin married Jane Douglas in 1797 at Newcastle, they had 5? children, Robert, John, Jane and Eleanor, on the baptism of Eleanor born 1809 at Byker the parish records state the 'Eleanor is the the 3rd Daughter of Armstong Urwin and Jane Douglas, i just cant seem to find the the 3rd Daughter.

Maybe someone can help.

Thanks
Allan

because Jane Urwin born 1801 married Henry Turnbull in 1830 at st Johns Newcastle and on the 1841 census it states Armstrong Urwin is living with his grandparents Armstrong and Jane.

Corrinne,

I think this is what Allan is saying:

The Jane born 1801 and mother of Armstrong, b1824, was the daughter of Armstrong Urwin and Jane Douglas who married in 1797

Allan

Allan Report 2 Nov 2010 08:49

yes Jane Urwin was married to Richard Errrington who died in 1794 while at sea, she married Armstrong Urwin in 1797, The Henry Urin name seems to be a red Herring as far as i can see.

Thanks
Allan

Hi Corinne, the Eleanor Urwin marriage of my line is to John Robson they were married Nov 1826 at Lamesley, another possibilty for the 3rd daughter is this, when Jane Douglas nee Errington, nee Urwin was married to Richard Errington there was daughter ann birn 1793, i have yet to find out what happened to her?

Allan

Allan Report 2 Nov 2010 12:47

Sorry i confused you, Ann Errington was the Janes daiughter was by her 1st Husband Richard Errington who died at sea, i dont know if she survived as a baby, Mary Urwin is a possibilty but the Henry Urwin entry is suspect, i think henry and Armstrong were brothers and thats were the confusion is.

Hi Corinne , i dont mean to confuse you, Jane was born in 1801 at Byker Newcastle,
Jane Douglas married Richard Errington at Lamesley in 1790, he dies 1794 ish she married Armstrong Urwin in 1797, it has been made complicated by the person who registerd Henry Urwin as Janes Husband.
