Hi , I have just added some siblings to a direct line that we have and the information came from Fraser & Fraser heir hunters, but I am a little concerned tthat they have the direct ancestor as Thomas Peter and so far I have only been able to find him as Peter! the document from F & F states they have had sight of death cert. I have birth cert and marriage cert both which state his name as Peter, soooo I have sent for death cert to see if he is listed as Thomas Peter. I am confident that his descendents are ours cos it all links together but do wonder where they got Thomas peter from.
If they can get it wrong, what chance do we have I ask myself?!!!!
Can you tell that I am at the stage where I am hitting a brick wall at every turn?!! oh well onwards and upwards etc. etc. M

You have to add them one at a time to the existing members of your own family tree...........but I echo the advice above......CHECK every bit of info, and verify it to your own complete satisfaction, before adding a name from another tree.

Not sure what it is you are trying to do, however.

To add names on GR, you go to the person on your tree where you want to make the connection and click on Add partner / child / sibling as appropriate.

You can't just add unconnected branches.

However, before adding from other tree's,it is far better to verify that they are correct first by doing your own research.

I get quite a few names from other members pages but I am unsure as to how to add them to my tree.
