copy facility

Anne, did you get anywhere with this? It sounds as though you might have run out of space in your clipboard if the copy facility suddenly stops.

Thanks Its my recently deceased fathers tree that I am trying to merge with my mothers, for some reason they did them seperately. I have all the relevant certification
And the copy facility still does not work

Can be a bit of a minefield, so be very wary of adding from someone else's tree unless you check out and validate the details first. Many people have come unstuck doing this, only to find later that it was full of errors.

Also, bear in mind that under the terms of use of the GR site, if you are adding details of living persons, then you must have their prior permission, and many members have in the past voiced their anger at having chunks of their tree copied even where the persons were deceased.

Anne, you do know your clipboard will only take 5 names at a time?

Otherwise, it may just be a system fault, try logging out and back in again.

Hi
I am trying to add a large number of ancestors gleaned fronm anothers tree my fathers
I have copied a number on to my clipboard and pasted them to my tree, The facility as now ceased to work
anyone know why or how to fix it
