I am trying to compile a book for a Christmas for my husband. I have completed the title page, reports and family history pages but can't fathom out how to insert photo's on the photo album despite following the tutorial on 'help'.
Can anyone explain in simple terms how to do this please?
I'm off out now for the afternoon but will check in later.

when you have the book open click on INSERT
the drop down will give you a choice of image from media collection or image from file.

Now if on your tree you have only 'linked' the images to the person on your tree they won't insert so you have to go to the original photo on your file on your computer and do it that way

I know this sounds really stupid but where do I click on 'insert' as there is no icon or anything obvious!

I have the photo album page open if that is any help in answering.

On my photo album page I only have File, Edit, View and Tools. I can only see 'insert' on the Title view page.
Any other ideas?

how are you doing Di? Have you managed to get your photos on to your book?

Jennifer........................ thank you for coming back and no I haven't been able to sort the photo album out at all.
I am going out for the evening as my OH was 60 yesterday and he is going to be thrashed at a bowling party.
Will check in later for any suggestions as to how I get photo's in the album page.

This way has worked and I now have 4 pages of photo's in the album.

Di glad Frank has helped you sort it out. I have FTM2010 also and so had a look to see how to put in photos on to a book. As you say it is not obvious and the Help doesn't Help either!
