Well he/she was there I can assure you! I don't talk to ghosts, talk to myself sometimes though.
Why would Slarti have deleted that post?
Isn't it awful the way that you can no longer see that a post has been deleted? I have read more threads today that made no sense at all because posts had been deleted.
Think I'll make another complaint to the management.

oh

how I wish I could see what slartibartfast had posted!

instead of seeing Margaret apparently talking to a ghost that only she can see!

Doesn't work for me, Slartibartfast.
(Are we allowed to call you Slarti for short? It's a hell of a moniker to have to type in. I do know where it's from. HHGTTU.)

Mine doesn't have that anymore, it used to and I found it very handy. Mine just has a box to click for " Only records for UK & Ireland" but I can't specify Canadian or American.

They used to have a "Collection Priority" box but it's not there anymore.

Sorry Slartibartfast I still cannot see a box called " collection Priority."

I would just add to that and mention that Ancestry makes extensive use of cookies to keep a track of your selections as you use the site, so you go back to them automatically in the future without having to re-select them all over.

Because of this, if you make use of a browser cleaning utility, such as CCleaner, make sure that you white list cookies for Ancestry sites so that they are not deleted when you run a clean-up.

I mention this because it has caught a number of people out in the past.

I also have Ancestry Worldwide.

If I'm looking for Uk records I open Ancestry.uk, for Canadian ones I open Ancestry.ca and for American ones it's Ancestry.com.

I often have all 3 open at the same time without a problem. Also I never log in or out, just close it when I'm finished.

Maybe I have been a bit slow on the uptake before ,but I have just realised that if i sign out of ancestry. UK and sign into Ancestry AU for example that any Australian records that I want to Iook up appear straight away instead of having to plough through other records. You must remember to sign out of one first tghough otherwise you may be locked out for half an hour.
