Does anyone know if the info available on Ancestry differ's from that of the original Will. I don't want to order the Will if it doens't contain anymore info.

It's bascially just a summary

name of decesaed, where and when he/she died, address if different, possibly get occupation. When probate was granted, who to, and relationship. Value of "effects"



That's it


You HAVE to get the will to see any details ...... the people named on the Index are only the executors ....... so there are very likely to be other inheritors.


It's like so many indexes ....... you can identify whether the person is yours, but you have to pay to get the rest of the information.

There may not be a will, I ordered six a couple of weeks ago and was surprised when two of them were intestate. I don't think you can tell that from the index.

Actually on looking again if it says Administration in the index then I think there isn't a will and the information you get is virtually that in the index.

I did receive the will but was very disappointed. It was just a typewritten copy and didn't even have a date on it. I was very interested in knowing when it was written but it didn't tell me.

How do you go about ordering the wills. I have done this in the past but cannot remember.
