Internet Naval Records

Does anyone know how or where to find these on the internet, looking for details of my grandad Ron Baldwin and his brothers Stan, Fred and Raymond. Thanks Emily

There are records on line, we can look for you, but need more details. Where did they live, where and when where they born

When? Is Royal or Merchant Navy


Royal Navy
If its after 1920 these records are not online they are still held by the authorities and onlythe person themselves or NOK can apply for them.

Prior to 1972 all RN personnel were given their service record when they discharged. For pension purposes the RN retained pay details. Therefore the only information held on RN personnel who served prior to 1972 are their Service details (number, rank, name etc) and a list of dates and ships/shore bases.

Hi All, Thanks very much for your help, the people i was looking for all served in the second world war, one on King George VI Ship (Ray Baldwin b1925) Ron Baldwin b1921 on HMS Belvoir and Stan b 1923 who served as gunner on merchant navy ships but with the royal navy. Emily
