I am looking for information on William Henry Fouracres showing on Queensland electoral roll 1942-1954. I do not have Worldwide Ancestry so unable to view the details. William jumped ship in the 1920's staying in Australia leaving his family in Bristol never hearing from him again. He died in Queensland 1964 ( Father Henry Fouracres, Mother Ada Spratt)..

Hi Anne,
Don't have these on my tree, my Fouracres lot were mainly born Bristol and I do have quite a detailed tree for them
William was my grandfathers brother who stayed in Australia abt 1920 until his death in 1964.I would love to discover what happened to him, no doubt he had another family in Australia

Think he was in Capricornia in 1943 then Wide Bay in 1949 moving on to Fisher.I am wondering if he had a wife and children in Australia

Yes that is definately the death as those were his parents......maybe I should get his death certificate although I don't know what is detailed on Australian death certs.

Hi Maria, How odd that you caught this thread, I am in the process of drafting a Xmas em to you.....I'm trying to solve a Fouracres mystery....my grandfathers brother jumped ship in Oz 1920 ish leaving his wife & dtr here in Bristol, they never heard from him again. Dad tried to trace him when he was in Oz in WW2 but no avail.I would so like to find out what sort of life he had and if he had another family there XX
