Is there any easier way of searching the new familysearch website?

I am finding it really difficult to find records now, as certain information brings up zero matches, and you can't add spouse, parents names etc as far as I can see.

Perhaps I am doing something wrong.

thanks

If you do an advanced search - there is a box at the bottom called relationship. You can select either spouse or parents which should help a search

pilot search dosnt exist anymore as far as I can see, everything has been switched over to the new website now.

It works as per K mentioned.

You can still use the pilot site.

Go to familysearch.org - select 'search records' top left, from the drop down box click 'record search pilot'

I don't think it will be available for much longer however.

If you scroll right down to the bottom of the page, there is a link to the old website. Again, don't know how long this will be there.

You can also get to the pilot site another way. Go to the home page, and in the bottom left hand quarter you will see:

See prototype for searching millions of records

Click on this line and it takes you straight into it. It does say though, that it will soon be replaced.

URL for old site - put it in your Bookmaks / Favourites to get directly to it

Does anyone know what has happened to the submitted entries now that they are moving to the new site? Are they still there or have they been filtered out? It used to be obvious which ones were extracted and which were submitted, but now they all look like "genuine" information.

Edit: see new thread entitled - IGI - submitted entries
