Hi Anyone at a loose end just before Xmas and could spare me look up on the 1911 census?
Family named BAYLEY probabley living in Baldwin St. Smethwick, some names - Samuel, Nancy,born around 1870's Lydia, born around 1900.
Also if possible earlier sightings of them Nancy & Samuel born in Darlaston Staffs I think, any chance of finding them with their families before marriage, I'm told Samuels father was also Samuel and married a Nancy Lunn and Nancy was Nancy Butler before marriage.

Name correction to 1901 census was done in 2006. The entry done by a person related to the young Nancy

Samuel Bayley married in 1889 to Nancy Butler

This Ancestry member does not appear to have used the site recently

Have you checked on FreeBMD for any possible marriages -think the site it up to 1930's in some areas

No I haven't got the marriage cert Glitter Baby, but am 99% sure of the marriage. I tried to access Free BMD a while ago and got sent to Ancestry which I am not a member of, what did I do wrong?

Just tried freebmd, but got Ancestry.com, I must be thick, just remembered we have to go out this evening, but I'd much rather be doing this! Thanks again Kath, and Glitter Baby, I can pass all this on to my mother aged 99 and the source of lots of my info on the family, she remembers so much and told me some of the Bayley names to set me off, now I can fill her in the other family members.
