Hi,
I guess that will teach me to read things more carefully in future!! However on a positive side I now have access to 1911 census and have found information for my side of the family which I have yet to start on.
So I guess all is not lost.
Thank you all for your replies and I would wish you all a very Happy and Healthy New Year.
kind regards. M.

I know that on Ancestry you can cancel within 7 days of subscribing at no cost. Don't know if it's the same for FMP.
It's always a good idea to take advantage of the free trial offers on these sites to see what's available on them.

Hi thanks Joan,
I saw the extract you have copied, but the advert did not say that, its only when you go into PR that it tells you its not complete and by then I had paid my subs...... so I will just have to wait and keep trying. thanks. M.

Mac,
thanks for your reply, I do use Lanc on line parish records and family search but seem to have stalled in my search some of which is going nowhere fast and from what the advert said I thought I might open up any new avenue..... oh well, you live and learn.

I will look into the "cool off" period, so thanks for the info.

thanks again.. and a Happy New Year to you. M

Can't help re your sub, but have you tried Lancashire online parish clerks for you Lancashire research and Family search for earlier records?

Not sure, but if you buy something on-line don't you have a "cool-off" period, try to cancel your payment.

Hi all,
I had a pay as you go on FMP which had nearly run out and saw the 15% discount offered on lost cousins, so today I took out a full years sub at £118 pounds. Problem is I think I have been "done", "conned" or have just been utterly stupid.!! Most of the searching I need at the moment is pre 1837 BMD and pre 1841 census. FMP advert says "exclusive parish records collection" but I cannot find any for Lancashire and when Iooked for a town in Yorkshire it said to contact the local FHHS.
I don't know if I am missing something here or doing something wrong but help and advice will be very much appreciated.
