Hi,

In the 1851, 1861 and 1871 census a large number of entries have the birth place as Charlton, Dorset.

I have been trying to find entries for a number of ancestors in the Dorset parish records who are listed as coming from Charlton.

I have looked in Charlton Marshell and Charlton Horethorne parish records but so far had no luck.

Has anyone got any suggestions of which parish Charlton refers to or may be has had the same problem and worked it out?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Andy
