Emigration to France !!

I would like to find out when Pricilla Ward went to France to live. She was born in 1837 and had a child, Albert (illigitimate) in 1869. I have been unable to find Pricilla or Albert in the 1871/81/91 census, but they were living in France by 1897 as Albert had married a French girl by that year.

Is there anywhere that would give the names of people sailing to France? I think Pricilla and Albert were living in Boulogne.

Any pointers gratefully received.

Could Priscilla have married after having Albert?

Where was she born and where was Albert born?

Hi Dee,

Pricilla was born in Southminster (Maldon area) in 1837. I have found her in the 1841/51 census, but she is then missing.

Some of her siblings moved to the London area and that is what I think she did. Her son Albert was born 28.10.1869 and in 1871 I found an Albert Ward living in the Acton area as a "nurse child". !!!!

I have managed to make contact with decendents of Pricilla who live in France and according to them, she was never married, either before or after the birth of Albert.
