Can anyone give me information on getting information on birth, marriages and deaths that occured before 1830. I am doing family tree and have now come to a standstill. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

You have to look at the Parish Registers. This is what you will find on the site that MC posted.

There are other sites too which will help but they are often area or County specific so we need to know whereabouts your rellies came from.

Can you post some details, perhaps of one of you ancestors, with names dates and places and the are many people on here who will help get you rolling in the right direction.

Family Search (IGI) Bookmarks, for anyone interested:-

Family search - old site

Family search - new site

Valerie, as Ann says, we need a location as well otherwise it is too much like searching for the proverbial needle in the haystack.
