I don't believe this George is mine. I have found mine in the 1891 census as a woodchopper. Also his mother was still alive in 1923 so she should most likely show as NOK. The name Elizabeth Waters also does not show up in the family tree. However, saying all this, I am going to keep this information on file - just in case.

Thank you

There is someone one here with a George Wilson born Chelsea circa 1875. It may be worth getting in touch with them. Theres only one so won't take long.

It would be great to know you have helped someone with their research.

We have a man in our tree who used an alias. The family name is now the 'alias' name, but as he was 30 at the time of the first census and we cannot find a baptism we are stuck. Maybe your little find could help someone who is stuck too.

Henry Alfred Warren/George Wilson b circa 1870 was in The Queens Regt and married Annie Nancy Claridge 24 December 1898 in St. Johns Parish Church Fulham. (have checked marriage with army papers - it matches). He names n.o.k prior to marriage as aunt - Elizabeth Waters, 1 Tracey? St., Kensington, London. He was in S.Africa from Oct 1899 until Feb 1902 and had permission to stay in SA and join the police. Did he abandon his wife? His army no.2627 and birth name George Wilson born Chelsea. Just checked there is a reg birth for George Wilson March 1871.

Was searching for a Warren and this caught my eye across the head of papers in red ink alias Henry Alfred Warren.

Someone somewhere may be looking for him!
