Hi Chrissie..Chris.Christine!!......yes..you have been looking at my thread on the Tips board...."Who are we looking for in Derbyshire"..and you're dead right..I've stopped using it.....but didn't delete it because one or two of my old faithfuls still love it.............but the current success story is "Derbyshire Parish Records! on the records office Board...

and yes..i agree Margaret that when you view the board as a whole it does say..20 minutes ago..or one hour ago..or yesterday........so click on it and you'll still have to click aagain of "Post Date to get the latest news........crazy!!

Derek.

Hi Derek,

Forgive me if I have been reading the wrong thread but in my PM to you, I said that you had not updated it since November, no year mentioned. Since your last update on 2/11/10 there have been a couple of other entries, the latest was on 9/1/11. The thread I am referring to is numbered 1091204, perhaps you have another one?

Your tip regarding the post date is certainly worth putting on here though. Looking forward to reading what you have found for me.

Regards

Chris

Yes they do but for those unfamiliar with these boards/threads Derek's advice is very useful It took a lot of us a while to suss out that you had to click post date to get to the latest post.

But surely all threads give the date of the last post on it? Like mine now reads 1 minute ago.

This may be a small help only to seasoned traveller's..but i have received a PM which starts..i wonder if you are still..becasue your thread has not been updated since november 2009...(My Derbsyshire Parish records thread)........
Anyone clicking on a thread of any kind sees the date the thread was first created......GR used to have a "last reply" facility to bring any person to the latest entry.............My tip is..that you now have to click on the mysterious and meaningless Tab...."Post Date".........

It's a bit confusing for a "Newbie" who may think, as my latest correspondent did, tha the Thread is no longer alive.
..or am i being thick????

Derek.
