I think this is Winnie Wallis in 1911

She immig 1910, b Aug 1884 in England.

There are 3 more Wallis just 3 blocks away @ 413/452 10th St.
George & Fanny, a=50 pob=England are possibly her uncle/aunt. (I don't think parents as they immig 1905), and Mary a=85 pob=England immig 1890 maybe also a rellie.

Thank you all for the info...odd he doesn"t show on the 1916 Census. All the children were born in Brandon Manitoba: John 1914,Robert Thomas 1916, David 1918, Mary 1920, Jean Dorothy (Ruth) 1922.

Sorry but no sign of any member of the Rankin family on the 1916 Canadian census which as I am sure you already know only covered Manitoba, Saskatchewan, and Alberta.

From the Canadian passenger list there does not appear to be a Robert Rankin arriving in 1906. The nearest would appear to be the one below who arrived in 1907. He was a tailor whose residence in the UK was in Northumberland. He was travelling with an Andrew Rankin aged 24. They were heading for Victoria Harbour, Ontario,

I don't see Robt in 1911 MB, so he probably missed the 1906 prairie census. I guess he was in ON thru 1911, but it would help to have his month of birth to help identify him in 1911.

Am trying to find Robert Rankin born 1885 UK immigrated to Canada. 1906 . Married Winnifred Wallis around 1910 and had John Rankin, Thomas Rankin, David Rankin, Ruth Rankin and Mary Rankin (children).
I think only John and Thomas were born before the 1916 Census. They were born in Manitoba.
