FTM with six months Premium is currently on Amazon for just £29.99, that's 45% discount compared to the equivalent annual sub pro rata'd!

25% from Ancestry, just say you see it on Quidco.

I once let my subs lapse and kept getting emails with discounts to tempt me back.

Interesting TF, clearly they have a 25% "budget" for customer acquisition costs so if you take the trouble to ask or go via referral site there seems a good chance

I rang Ancestry last year and just asked for one. I explained that FMP was offering me a 20% discount to stay with them and wondered what they would give me to stay with them. They gave me 25% discount

Also, sometimes it's cheaper to buy Family Tree Maker which comes with 6 months sub. It's just a case of doing the maths

Those considering a new sub to Ancestry uk (or GR), should check out the Cash Back sites (The leading two are topcashback.co.uk and quidco.com - TCB is better as it doesn't charge any annual subscription).

If you join and click through the TCB site when you join ancestry you should a cash credit equal to 25% of the subscription cost. In my experience as long as you make sure you follow the instructions these sites work pretty well.
