I do think Family Tree Maker is your best bet. If you wish to try it and see you can always download a copy from rapidshare: You can search on:

for the links.

Family Tree Maker has a library of 10 Charts, 2 Genealogy reports, 8 Person Reports, 5 Relationship Reports, plus 9 other reports and the ability to create a Genealogy Book. More than enough to satisfy the majority of users.

All charts and reports can have as much or as little on them as you decide so it is possible to print customised versions for different members of the family.

Printing a chart with 500 names on a single sheet is technically possible - the only problem is that you can't read it.....!

The commercial site Kath mentioned will print a tree on large rolls of paper, for say use at a family gathering when you want to hang it on the wall for all to see, should that be what you are looking for..

On Family Tree Maker you can see an "all in one" chart that shows everyone in your tree. You can obviously not print this off on one page on a home printer as it would be too small to read. However someone like Ron from www.genealogyprinters.com is able to print the whole tree off on one page for you at competitive prices.

Can anyone help me find a piece of Family Tree Software that resembles that used here on GenesReunited in particular the ability to see and scroll the whole tree. Have looked at Family Tree Maker...Family Tree Builder...Family Tree Legends...etc. whilst they are all good packages they can only manipulate data in limited batches, they are unable to show you say 500 persons in one sheet with print ability or in the case of Family Tree Builder want to trap you into upgrade paying monthly subscriptions ongoing in order to do so!

Any response greatly appreciated.

Robin.
