Hi Hayley

Then the birth registration posted earlier for Florence Gladys Barron in the March quarter of 1908 in Edmonton would be the one for your grandmother.

Although she was born in December 1907 her parents would have had 6 weeks to register the birth so would have legally had to have done so by the end of January 1908 - this would bring the registration record into the March quarter of 1908.

Thankyou Glitter baby.I know a lot of this information has been given but a match links in another family tree but she only had 2 of those children in hers.
Any mistakes make for a long line of mistakes so i needed to double check.

Thankyou Cherryblossom, my Nans name was indeed Florence Gladys Barron. She was born 14 December 1907.

Thankyou for your help. x

There is a tree on Ancestry that has the Elsie Amy Barron born 1897 from the 1911 census listed as Constance Elsie Barron.

For reference, the thread from yesterday

Thank you Glitterbaby

From www.freebmd.org.uk

Well, I think Jesie Amy from the 1911 should be Elsie Amy

Births Mar 1897
Barron Elsie Amy Edmonton 3a 465

Births Sep 1898
Barron Alfred George Edmonton 3a 471

Births Dec 1900
Barron John William Edmonton 3a 495

Births Mar 1903
Barron Emily Annie Edmonton 3a 587

Births Mar 1908
Barron Florence Gladys Edmonton 3a 645

Births Mar 1910
BARRON Daisy Frances Edmonton 3a 607

Obviously, with a five year gap between 1903 and 1908 there could have been a couple more children born in those years.

Plus this one after 1911

Births Sep 1912
Barron Frederick F Nott Edmonton 3a 1248

What was your Gran's name, when was she born?

Have you found their marriage on Freebmd?

I think the 1911 census should be correct - it was filled out by the family. Have you found them on the earlier censuses? Some children could have been born before the marriage.

By 1911 Emily and Alfred have had 8 children born alive, 6 are still alive in 1911 but two have died.

This family are living in quite cramped conditions - they have five rooms in the house which includes the kitchen.

Hi

I wonder if someonecould shed some light for me on my family tree.
I am trying to trace the children of Alfred David Barron 1870 and Emily Emma Barron (nott) 1870. (birth place Edmonton Uk)
It says on the freedmd site there where 2 poss 3 childrenbut on the 1911 census on this site it stated there where 6 children.I know they also had a girl (who was my Nan) but she is not listed on freedmd site with the other 2 children.
The only place they are all listed is on this 1911 census.
Which is right?
