hi all
does anyone no where i can buy a birth cert for a lady that was born in 1822?

many thanx

Pete

you cannot buy birth certs for events prior to 1837.

You may be able to locate a baptism record in the appropriate parish records.

No registration before 1837. You have to rely on parish records, in this case baptism. You can try Familysearch site:

Free to search. Alternatively you could post some details on here to see if anyone can help.

Do you know where she was born? You can check the availability of parish records via the Genuki website.

Also try freereg: www.freereg.org.uk. Some counties have online parish clerks. This site has links:
www.onlineparishclerks.org.uk/

Ancestry and findmypast also have some parish records, but you need to subscribe or buy credits to view them.

if she married post 1837 her marraige cert will provide the name of her father. This will help you locate possible baptism records.

Well, possibly, though as you know info 1841 very sparse. I wonder if this name might be Scottish, maybe one of our Scots members could advise! Found a marriage on Familysearch but just speculative:

ROBERT AIKENHEAD Pedigree
Spouse: MARGARET MURRAY
02 SEP 1795 Edinburgh Parish, Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland
