One place to look, would be the National Archives or A2A (Archives to Archives) - its not something that has been asked about!

Cabinet papers are released about (wet finger in the air) 50 years after the event, so even if you were to say 100 years (like the cenus) one would imagine that they would be available.

A lot of colonial Indian records ended up in the British Library. Could they have them?

Any other suggestions from people???

Does anyone know if info has been released for the late 1870s and how I could access it
