I can only suggest you google plenty of info. they may have a museum.

Service records for WW1 are on Ancestry. but please note that 7o% of these records were destroyed in WW2 by fire etc after the storage area was bombed, so its a bit of luck if if a particular persons record have survuved.

Ive had a look from the details submitted, sorry to say i cannot see anything for him.


This is the record from the CWGC site,gives his wifes name so may you will be able to confirm its him

I've been trying to locate the service record of my rellie without success. I've tried National Archives but only found "Medal Card"? The following is what I've found and as sure as I can be it's him:
Name: Henry Lewis born 26.03.1892
Death: 09.06.1917 France & Flanders

Regiment: Northumberland Fusiliers
Batt:: 22nd Battalion (Tyneside Scottish)
