Looking for details of Frederick Turton born Poplar 1898 address in 1901 census was Ida Street Poplar . Fathers name was William Turton b 1862. The family last saw him in the 30's when he came back from Australia. Then he just disappeared.

Hi Margaret

... do you think he returned to Australia? The 'Ryerson Index' (on-line)..has NSW newspaper death notices to present day ... I noticed this:
Frederick Turton d18/2/1960 age 60 yrs 'late of Yass' ...'Goulburn Post' 22/2/1960. (age seems to fit?)

Ryerson's will do look-ups ...see 'request' on their site.

Thanks Valerie,
This will give the family something to investigate.
Hope the bush fires around Perth are not too near you.
