Hi Jan,

Thanks for your reply, Im not local but my Nan had a 9 year gap between my mum and her next Child so she may have had complications.

If you are local, maybe you could check the electoral register for that address?
Quite a few women gave birth in hospital, and many more went home to their mother when they gave birth so difficult to say.

My late mother was born at number 250 Kings Road Chelsea in 1927.
Her parents lived at 2 Munro Terrace Chelsea.

Does anyone know if this was a Maternity Hospital or Nursing Home

Mothers father was a mannual worker and I was under the impression Children were born at home in those days.
