1841 census as above shows the man to be a Gunner..........which means he was in the Royal Artillery

However, there is nothing to say he was born in Wales......only that he was not born in Northumberland

There are a few John Jones from Wales in the records with the artillery. This is just one of them.

hi Barbra his birth year was abt 1816 wales as I said it was the cavalry artillery and infantry barracks in Newcastle upon Tyne. The only clue I have to his regiment is hundred Tindale Division. Hope this is a help Barbra. Thank you John

I am looking for information on a John Jones the 1841 census showed him as a gunner in the cavalry artillery and infantry barracks in Newcastle upon Tyne. Can anyone possibly help me find out any information about his army life. Or tell me where I might find it. Very much obliged. John
