Elizabeth married John Tindale on Oct 9th 1876 in Sheriff Hutton, North Yorkshire. Her father was John Easey a Coachman. On the 1881 Census she is shown as Peter Kendale's daughter in law but cannot find reference to a marriage! On 1881 Census she has had two children by John Tindale but also is shown a Daughter Annie Kendale aged 13. Elizabeth Easey was born in Manchester but I do not know how to track this down and trace her mother etc. Elizabeth is my G.Grandmother and I would be grateful for any help.

I think you need to get some certificates to confirm or refute what we have found so far.

Looks slightly confusing but will delve further. All replies seem feasible. - have her Marriage Certificate which shows her father is John Easey Coachman when she married John Tindale in 1876.
Have copy of actual 1881 Census which shows Annie Kendale 13. Thanks to all.

Well, I can only suggest you get the marriage cert for Mary and Peter Kendall. This should tell you whether Mary was married to an Easey/Heys or whether John is a fabrication. Elizabeth may have made him up for propriety's sake or she may have been told he was her father.

However we've followed her back with Mary and Peter to 1851, though she's missing in 1861.
