I have discovered some of my relatives were administrators of estates and executors of wills of both related and unrelated people by searching the London Gazette online

go to http://www.london-gazette.co.uk/search

scroll down and enter their name in the "with the exact phrase" box

the publication covers all of England

Does anyone know if TNA or Ancestry let you search for a beneficiary of a Will, or just the benefactor?
