I have been told that there was a boxer named Kid Plested, who may be a relative. I did a search and the only reference is on http://boxrec.com/list_bouts.php?human_id=60001&cat=boxer Is there anyway I can find what his firstname was?

Many thanks

David

David...Given that he was actually active as a Boxer abt.1910 onwards...I suggest you check out the 1911 Census Birmingham ...(Which is where he was from)...you may be lucky....I dont have access to the Census or would have checked for you...cant be many Plested "Boxer" listed...

I would imagine that he got the nickname Kid because he was a teenage when he started serious boxing. Looking at a couple of other Kid records it seems that age would be about seventeen. So I would expect he was born around 1896 give or take a few years.
