Messages, at the top, has updates and then privacy settings in which you can opt in or opt out of receiving updates to other people's data on the site with whom you share information.

Updates are changes and/or additions made to the trees of 'your contacts', people who's trees are open to you.

They have been listing them for some time, but not for ever.

I usually have a quick scan through now and then, if nothing else it tells you which of your contacts are still active on the site.

under messages my updates i have 33 pages to scan through
i am not sure perhaps other people tracing the same surname i sopose ???

Ive asked before on here about william mcdowell b 1792 died 1842 clowance stoke damerel his wife mary ann b 1795 died 1837 plymouth

also four of the children that died age between 1 and 2 years old from 1822 in devon nobody can suggest what cemetery they are buried in

What are these updates??

I have been a member of G.R. for years now i have just looked at my updates which i never knew about and seen photos which a lot of members have added i am missing a lot on this site it seems

i wish somebody was tracing my mcdowells from devon
