Mistranscription !!

I have found my great grandparents marriage on Familysearch,but they have mistranscribed my great grand mothers surname, can thisa be altered?

Depends when the event occurred and whether its a mistranscription. Many people couldn't read or write so spellings as are as the writer thought they were spelt.
For instance i have a marriage for George Dartnell to Elizabeth Hetterley in Kent 1871 neither could read or write,but due to dialects he is down as Dartner and she is down as Ettreley its the right couple but it canot be altered cos thats how the vicar thought their names were spelt. I have the mariage cert
