I bought Family Tree maker 2011 and my hubby managed to transfer through a gedcom file most of the info I had ,

There's also RootsMagic 4 Essentials and Ancestral Quest Basics.

MyHeritage do a free Family Tree Builder but ensure you select custom install and remove their web toolbar and changes to your browser homepage.

have you got the information as a gedcom file?

If so you should be able to import it into any family tree program.

You can download the basic version of legacy for free. I generally find that okay.

just google legacy family tree download

Help! I am needing advice on New Family History Software that is compatible with my old Generations family data. my existing programme is too old for my new widows 7 computer
any help would be great
