Could possibly mean "Half Pay"

Navy.

All persons, of whatever rank, engaged in the Sea Service of Her Majesty, whether in the Navy or Marines; must be inserted as Navy--adding H.P. for Half-pay; and P. for Pensioner.

I wasn't too sure where to post this but....
Found a possible relative on the 1841 census and under occupation it states Navy H.P.
My brain must still be asleep, I can't think what the H.P. might stand for.
Has anyone got their brain working this morning and can think what these 2 letters mean?
Many thanks
