National Archives uk have information to show that a couple divorced but not later than about 1940/5,full information can only be got by applying for the record via the site and a cost paid,,but certainly they dont hold a record of every divorce in England/Wales..a hit and miss.

No modern records can be accessed or are held on line.

Does anybody n o if there is a Divorce Registry website or any other way to find out if someone has been divorced.Thanks
