Just got the bug to have a look at the ancestors again and would like to tie up loose ends on some folks.
Lydia Lunn b. 1841 Darlaston married Thomas Evans 1864, he seems to have died before the 1871 census. Her sister Mary Ann Lunn b. 1850 Darlaston married John Blakemore 1883, he too seems to have died at a young age. I believe the sisters went back to live with their mother Amelia Lunn b. 1811 Darlaston and ran a shop with her. Mary Ann had one daughter Amelia b. 1885. I am told that on the 1911 census the two sisters and Amelia (daughter of Mary Ann) all live and work in the shop, but I am intrigued to know if Amelia married and had a family and when Lydia and Mary Ann died. Has anyone time to do a little sleuthing for me?
Thanks Karen

Thanks folks, I'm a bit confused by the two possible marriage references, are Prescott and Tovey the possible spouses for Amelia, what is the registrationn district for the first one please?
Ah so Lydia did have a child - interesting. Any way of finding when and the childs name?
The death for Amelia in 1925 could be the right one, can anyone find out when Lydia and Mary Ann died please? Now I really am bitten by the bug again!
Look forward to any more info.
Thanks again
Karen

For ref, elements were added to the GRO index as follows:
B - mum's MS in 1911q3
M - Spouse's surname in 1912q1
D - age in 1866q1

Thus Prescot is the RD - it included St Helen's, Lancs thru 1935.

Thanks for the explaination mgnv, nice to have things explained when you are unfamiliar with the GRO index and what all the symbols stand for.
