Researching your French ancestors? This French language database commemorating France’s war dead may be helpful. It covers French soldiers who died in World Wars I & II, the Indochina War (1945-1954), the Korean War (1950-1953), the War in Algeria and fights in Tunisia and Morocco (1 Jan – 2 Jul 1952). The WWI database provides access to the digitized military card of each soldier. Details vary but usually include date and place of birth, military unit, date and place of death.
