There is a phone number you can ring and they may be able to help you.

Army records for the period between WW1 and WW2 will be released to the National Archives - don't know time frame, but possibly in the next year or so.

Regimental Diaries are no use if you don't know the regiment and battalion!

Try this website:-
Forces Reunited - Find Army Friends, Find RAF Friends, Find ...
Offers a means of meeting up with old forces friends, service pals, veterans and comrades.

Do you know which countries your father served in? Might help identify
which regiment.
There is a volunteer, George, who posts details of how next of kin can obtain a copy of a service record.

Two options !
1. Phone 0141 224 8034. It's The Army Personnel Centre who will advise you what to do.,
2 Apply in writing to Army Personnel Centre, Historical Disclosures, Mail Point 535, Kentigern House, 65 Brown St., Glasgow G2 8EX.
This only applies to ARMY...........Navy & Air Force I cant help, sorry.
