hi
yesterday i was looking through these threads and found one about joining the libruary online and how helpful it was re family trees.
i have joined, got my pin number but am having a few problems knowing what to do next, all i can find is details about the council on the website and how to pay my pol tax etc. i have gone back looking for the thread on here and now i cant find that either, am i going mad or just being stupid?

Once you log into Lancashire Libraries site click on "Online Reference Library" on the left hand side of the page.

The click on "19th Century British Library Newspapers" on the left hand side of the page.

Enter your library barcode number and press "Proceed".

From there click "Browse Publication Title" and click one one that interests you. Then away you go.

Good hunting.

Or you can use the barcode on your own library card, if you belong to a library in England.

thank you both for your help - still having no luck because it is asking me for borrowing number and says if i have forgotten it to look on card or ask a member of staff. i obtained a pin number by following a link on an e mail they sent but no borrowing number as far s i know. on trying to go back via link it just says i have already registered and wont let me go back again. so i guess i'll have to wait for card

yes - the barcode you need is printed on the card

do you have a library near you which may have access rights to various sites?
