Jonesey has a "tip" on here regarding Lancashire Library. You can join online for free and it covers newspapers across the Country..... I'll find his post and give it a nudge for you. I feel sure you will find what your looking for on there.

There maybe court papers as I am assuming that he would have gone before the debtors court

Hi there,
Just found an article about a relative who files for bankruptcy and just wondered if anyone knew if any other papers would be available. He lived in Burton Stather but it is shown in the London Gazette.
