Born 1891\92 in South Sheilds, moved to Whitehaven in Cumbria at the age of 9 to live with his uncle and aunt Joesph and Betsy Cannell (Bessie) nee Lynch, at 39a Roper Street. I cannot locate Thomas' parents. Bessie is his Aunt - but she is listed as Bessie and Betsy - I presume she is actually Elisabeth or Elizabeth - making it hard to trace, once i trace her I can then see if any off her siblings could be a parent to Thomas.....HELP!! I recall my Grandad (John Curwen Lynch) saying Thomas MAY have had the middle name Brocklebank - but he is not listed with a middle name on any documents i have looked at so far. Thomas was married to Maud Doran of Whitehaven. :-)
