Hi' Patrick,
you could try irishgenealogy.ie. they have church records for part of Cork,but full records for Kerry,upto 1900,and there free.I hope this helps

Hello Cathy
Yes i have that info on the census. it is trying to crack the info on where William was before then .
I have looked at the census for 1901 & the nearest i can get is a William from Kerry there is a story in the house about a connection to Kerry. all i need is a connection of is records of when he was put in a home thank you for replying

Hi Patrick,

Have you found the family in the 1901 and 1911 census? It's free at http://www.census.nationalarchives.ie/ or just google 1911 irish census.

There's also a thread for Irish records which I'll add to this in a mo'

Can any one point me in the right direction, my grandfather was put in a childrens home about 1880 not sure why in Cork.
Who is most likely to still have them records if they are still around
