Hi I am trying to locate Edward's Father and Mother if possible. From what I have been able to find quite a few people with the name of Blows went to the US and served and fought in the Civil War. I am trying to see if there is any conection between us all.

Thanks

Mike Blows

There are a few trees on Rootsweb that have the family that Maddie posted but none of them have parents for Edward.

same with the trees on ancestry
however if he had a sister rebbecca born in 1806 in willingale doe they have parents as john blows and elizabeth meggs but no supporting documentation.
not very helpful

Is this his marriage? And is the Rebecca Litch on the 51 census a relative of his wife? S and L are often mistranscribed.

Looked at the register in the ERO today and can confirm that the marriage of John Blows, bachelor of the parish, and Elizabeth Meggs, spinster of the parish, took place at Willingale Spain (in Essex) on 25 Jan 1791, banns having been called on 2nd, 9th and 16th. Couldn't be certain of the witnesses names but they looked like James Asser and James Blows.
