Hi There,is it possible to be be on 2 census`s in the same year my
grandmother was born in Ireland andcame 2 england 1901,
I was certain I had the right one,I found her on the 1901 in England and also on the Irish 1901 ?? Cheers Pauline

Sometimes a person is named on two census - maybe the person was living in one house but staying in another and so was put down as being in both.

As the Irish and English census were both the same day, in theory there should only be one 'sighting' but as Joy says, the person filling in the form may not have been clear about the instructions.
