two biths same name 3 year apart

this is a living relative so cant post names but on ancestry there are 2 children with same first middle and last names same mother maiden name same reg district but 1 is july 1994 and the other is feb 1997.

just had a thought parents didnt marry until 1995 so assuming first entry is correct the child was born before parents were married so could the second entry be a re-registering after the marriage and another child was born in oct 1996 making a feb 1997 birth seem impossible.

thoughts and suggestions please

its ok just found another child born 1992 with another entry for feb 1997 so they must have re-registered the 2 oldest children after the marriage.

yes you are right 2 of my children also have 2 entry
down to marriying after thay was born

I wouldn't be surprised if the 1992 cert was indexed under both parents' surnames (there'ld only be one cert, so both index entries would give the same ref info).

thanks for your replies. im not too worried im not going to be buying certs or anything it was just something i hadnt come across before.
