Let us know how you get on/what you think. Feed back may help other people thinking about buying an off line FT programme. :-)

There is free 30 day download you can try out

http://www.family-historian.co.uk/downloads/v4-30-day-trial

And Family Historian has its own user group called FHUG.

I'm looking for a program that will let me input all of an individuals data on 1 page, not keep opening new pages for say, baptism, marriage or death. Will Family Historian do that? I like the idea of the 'stand alone' people.

I'd have thought that any of the purchased ones would probably fulfill your criteria - I have Family Historian. You can have 'stand alone' people and their families, then if you found they were related, you can link them up at a later date.

Family Tree Maker seems to be a popular one round here which apparently gives you a sub to Ancestry.

I want to chart family trees of the name I'm interested in. I've checked out the Guild of One Name Studies but can't find a suitable software program for doing this.
Does anyone have any suggestions?
I've tried Roots Magic 4 and MyHeritage Family Tree but am not very happy with them, I find GR so easy, can anyone recomend something like that?

Thanks
Jackie
