I think I would be inclined to get the birth certificate for Louisa Mary C. Wycherley to see who is named as her parents.

Could it be that Owen Clutton was her father but her mother was not married to him at the time of her birth. If her mother's surname was Wycherley then she may have been given Clutton as a forename so as to have his name on her certificate without actually naming him as the father. When she was older she may have taken his name anyway or her mother may have married Owen at a later date.

Also - anyone have any thoughts - I think both Wycherley & Clutton could both be surnames.

I wondered if she might be a widow & getting remarried..

Marriage cert lists her a spinster aged 27 though.

One witness at her marriage was Ada Williams (& William Williams) - could be her sister.

Father Owen Clutton is recorded as a farmer on marriage certificate.

There's a Louisa Wycherley on the 1891 census in Wellington, Salop, aged 5, born Dawley but parents are Martin & Harriet Wycherley.

Owen's wife on this record gives the same place of birth as Louisa Wycherley on the 1911 census (Dudlestone).

Does Louisa's marriage certificate give an occupation for her father? Who were the witnesses?
