The census that Choccy posted is the one with incorrect transcript, so you can see he was born in Chester which is correct with the original

Hi George,

Many thanks for taking the time to look for me and for reporting the image. It's very much appreciated. I thought it must be the correct family as the names and ages of the children were in the correct order.

I've now checked out the unknown daughter and it looks as if she died at the tender age of 10mths. That explains why the family never knew about her.

Thanks again to you all. George, did you notice where Walter was born please?

The transcript is incorrect, looking at the original with the exception of Walter Long all the children are Jones.

I have sent a report image correction.

Hi SatNav thanks very much. but have found the info rather strange.

Walter was their child prior to their marriage. But the children are in the correct order of birth but with the surname of Long whereas it should be Jones. It was only Walter that was born out of wedlock as I have their marriage cert, and they were married in 1899.

Does it state when and where Walter was born?

William Jones b 1872 head not sure exactly where he was born.
Emma Jones b 1871 wife Cornwall
Walter Long or Jones son b approx 1892 Chester or Flintshire
Edward Jones son b 1899
William T Jones son b 1901 Flintshire
Sydney Jones son b after 1901 either Flintshire or Chester. He was the youngest but don't have any idea when he was born.

Much appreciate any help anyone can give me.

I've taken a quick look on line and it appears that there is a Emma living with a Walter Long in Hawarden so think this is a strong possibility if anyone could look that up for me it would be a great help and very much appreciated by ma in law. Thanks again.
