Hello all, general query...

We have an award for one of our relatives for his saving someones life in 1921, (they were drowning in the Lea Canal). The award is dated 9th July 1921. The Society was instituted in 1774.

My question is, would anyone happen to know if this would be recorded anywhere else other than the Royal Humane Society do you think?

Thank you, as always.

The most obvious place to look would be newspapers I suppose, images of which will be in the main library - are you local to the area?

Yes try the newspapers for the area it happened, my great grandfather won an award in the1870s and there was a very discriptive article in the newspaper of the day.
